The Mark family commissioned this painting for their main foyer. They were a family of four with a boy and a girl when this painting was painted. This painting incorporates the colors from their front door, entrance, living room and dinning room. It was intended as an introduction and summary of their house, life and family members. After this painting was installed, they had another child couple years later. The five calla lilies represent Dad, Mom, and the (now) three children. |
